ABOUT
MEGASHUFFLE.com
Hi this is Steve of MEGASHUFLE. I am the
founder of MEGASHUFFLE.com. You may hear my voice from time to
time between the music.
Welcome to MEGASHUFFLE.com - Alternative Rock Variety. The
station is a 24x7 live internet radio station broadcasting
from
Levittown, PA minutes north of Philadelphia, PA in the
United
States. MEGASHUFFLE was started June 14, 2006.
MEGASHUFFLE's current format is Alternative, Rock. The
station
also features indie, adult Alternative, and listener
submitted
music. You will also hear favorite modern rock
cuts from the 1970s onward.
All of the music is hand-picked and scheduled by me, not
a
computer. The station is operated from my home. I solely
take
care of the website, marketing, technical, and programming
of MEGASHUFFLE. I also enjoy doing a good part of the image
productions like promos, liners and such heard between songs. I
also use imaging services by Jeffery Hutchens. He's the more
professional sounding guy saying things like"MORE MEGASHUFFLEs
are NEXT" and "now it's time for a MEGAQUEST.." that i actually
pay for his services between songs.
MEGASHUFFLE is listener supported which means I hope fans
like
yourself can donate money to keep the
station on the air. The
station is licensed using LOUDCITY which handles
our royalty payments to ASCAP, SESAC, BMI, and
SoundExchange on a monthly basis.
The station's website is hosted with Dotster.com. My
reliable music stream hosting services are with
Myshoutserver.com. MEGASHUFFLE broadcasts currently
exclusively in 128k MP3. My station can be picked up using
media players such as Winamp, Windows Media Player, Real Audio,
Quicktime, VLC Player, and i-Tunes.
the MEGASHUFFLE
timeline...
Megashuffle.com began June 14,
2006. The format started out playing pop,
rock, dance, hip-Hop and alternative. MEGASHUFFLE was
known as "the Variety station". It was heavy with
syndicated shows such as "The Hairball John Radio Show",
"The Director's Cut Radio Show", "The Wayback Machine" and "The
Unzipped Show". We also were heavy on segmented genre
programming like "The Study Break", "The Donger Needs Food 80s
90s Alternative show". These shows at the time played segmented
types of music.
Soon after the joining of i-Tunes in
2008, MEGASHUFFLE continued to be known as " The Variety
Station ". The station moved away from shows &
segmented genre programming and played
24/7 rock/alternative/adult top40 blend. At the
time it would not be unheard of hearing Pat Benatar after Death
Cab for Cutie for example.
In 2010 I updated our
current stance to "Alternative Rock Variety"
playing Alternative, Indie, Adult Alternative and listener
supported music fitting our format. Dropped was
grandpa's play lists (Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and other
"Classic Rock" artists) for an all Alternative
format. MEGASHUFFLE now blends modern rock from
the 1970s to the hottest alternative out there now. Songs
get on the air only if I like it. I also get good
suggestions from YOU. I also have a countdown show called
"Countdown to the Weekend" and "The Sunday Mix-Tape
highlighting lighter alternative sounds.
MEGASHUFFLE's outlook is to grow the
audience by sticking with the current formula
and accepting input from the audience. I want to hear
from start-up artists. My music library is huge
and I am always making updates to keep up with your
needs.
I have started a second station in 2011
named "Anywhoradio.com" dedicated to playing remix of songs you
may hear on MEGASHUFFLE and top40 favorites of
today.
Thank you for making MEGASHUFFLE.com a part of
your day for the past 5 years.
Steve of MEGASHUFFLE.
